As the AR technology keeps widening awareness through its developer, artist, and consumer, it keeps on moving and growing to make millions of people up to this immersive technology. An international non-profit agency whose goals to inspire 1 billion active users by 2020 called AR.ORG conduct massive occasions where all AR enthusiasts around the world garnered to celebrate and exhibit the privilege of dealing with AR called Augmented World Expo (AWE). Augmented World Expo 2016 Europe in Berlin was the first knock of this largest event dedicated to AR in Europe. Joining large number of participants ranging from designers to CEOs, Octagon Studio is delighted to have been given the chance to be a part of this focal point for creators and enthusiasts alike.
The two-day event consisted keynotes by notable performers in the industry, startup product exhibition, industrial classes and tutorials, The Auggie Award, and discussion with company leaders around the world. The highlighted keynotes featured Wolf Siegert from Iris-Media, Martin Herdina from Wikitude, Bruce Sterling from AR Prophet, and many more.
Aside from having privilege to witness inspirational keynotes from the luminaries on first hand, the event facilitated us to network with other startups from around the world, enriching one another with global connection and possible links. Octagon Studio proudly showcased its products including Dinosaur 4D+, Space 4D+, and upcoming Wear 4D+ and gained attention from other exhibitors. As other participants approached our booth, identity card exchange was inevitable.
AWE Europe is expected to continue its mission on garnering AR users into an explosive numbers, especially in Europe. By facilitating AR and VR performer ranging from users to developers around the world, the goal is starting to look only inches away. However, mission won’t stop only to gain users, but also to put the AR and VR technology into stratosphere level.
